What gets rented out here
Oakland Gardens leans residential, so a lot of orders are single-unit: one deluxe flushing porta potty for a backyard project, a driveway pour, or a graduation on the lawn. Landscapers and pool crews working the streets off Cloverdale and 73rd Avenue tend to add a standard unit and a handwashing station for the duration.
When a school, a house of worship, or a youth league books a bigger day near Cunningham or Alley Pond Park, we bring an ADA accessible unit and, for anything dressed up, the climate-controlled restroom trailer with real sinks inside.
Where the unit actually goes
Unlike most of the city, plenty of Oakland Gardens homes have driveways and side yards, which gives us room to tuck a unit off the street and out of view. When a drop has to be curbside, we set it clear of a neighbor's frontage and where the servicing truck can pull in on its weekly pass. For a park or field event, we place along an access path the truck can follow without crossing turf.
The calendar in this pocket of Queens
Spring and fall fill up with field days, block gatherings, and outdoor projects, and summer brings the graduations and backyard parties. We lock in popular dates early when we can, and we still take short-notice orders when the route has room. Winter slows down but never stops, and we add freeze protection and keep units serviced through the cold and snow. Because so many jobs out here sit on private property, we can often keep the same discreet spot from the first delivery to the final pickup, which keeps a long yard or pool project tidy from start to finish.
