Silver Beach is a private community of small houses on the Long Island Sound, so the work here skews toward summer gatherings and cottage upkeep rather than big construction. A standard unit covers a lane block party or a crew redoing a porch, and a deluxe flushing model with a sink suits a shore-side party where guests spill out toward the water.
For a family reunion at one of the waterfront lots, an ADA accessible restroom gives older relatives an easy-entry option, and a handwashing station keeps a clambake or barbecue line clean. These are small, neighborly events, and a single well-serviced unit usually does the job.
Fitting a unit on narrow lanes
The lanes through Silver Beach are narrow and the lots are compact, so placement takes a little planning. We set the unit at the head of the lane or on a firm flat spot near the house rather than trying to squeeze a truck deep into a tight cul-de-sac. Tell us the lane and the nearest turnaround and we route the driver accordingly.
Because so many lots back onto the water, we keep the unit on solid ground away from the seawall and the soft shoreline, where a service truck can reach it without churning up a lawn or blocking a neighbor's access.
Winter and shoulder-season service
Summer is the busy stretch, but the community runs projects into the cold months too, and units hold up through Bronx winters of snow, ice, and hard freezes. On a longer cottage renovation we set a standard unit on weekly service, keep the path to it shoveled and clear, and pump it on route so the crew has a reliable stop even in January.
