Getting a truck onto the peninsula
Rockaway Beach is a long, narrow strip reached over a couple of bridges, and in summer the beach traffic backs up the main drags by late morning. We settle on a delivery window that beats the rush, usually early, so the unit is set before the crowd arrives and the driver is not stuck crawling down Rockaway Beach Boulevard.
Placement is off the loose sand every time. The stall goes on the boardwalk edge, a paved lot, or a plywood base near your setup, which keeps it level on soft ground and steady in the ocean wind. If the spot is on the boardwalk or a public street, check with the city or Parks about a permit before delivery day.
Off-season service by the ocean
