The work in this corner of the Bronx
Apartment and commercial renovation carries most of the load. Gut jobs in the big prewar buildings and storefront rebuilds along Fordham Road and the Grand Concourse need a Standard Porta Potty the trades can rely on, with a Handwashing Station where a public sidewalk runs close to the work.
Events fill in the rest, from campus gatherings to street fairs and community days. Those draw a Deluxe Flushing Porta Potty and, for open-to-all events, the ADA Accessible Porta Potty so nobody is left out. When a fair takes a whole block, we bring several units and size the setup to the expected turnout.
Placing on a crowded street
Driveways are scarce, so a unit lands at the curb, in a rear service lot, or inside a construction fence depending on the site. Busy blocks near the shopping strip can call for a right-of-way permit, so check with the city or DOT before the drop and tell us once it is cleared.
We set units clear of the bus lane and keep the sidewalk moving past them, confirming the position with a super or foreman so the placement does not pinch an already tight block during business hours.
Timing and the cold months
Fordham traffic is heavy through the day, so we time deliveries and pickups to the quieter windows and coordinate with a super or foreman to meet the truck. Bronx winters bite, and we keep units on cleared, solid ground away from plowed snow and service them through freeze so a long apartment job never loses its restroom. If a storm reshapes the parking or the site access, let us know and we will rework the stop to keep the unit stocked.
